Athan is a wonderful siberian who has been through a great deal in his short life. He was hit by a car and his owner surrendered him to the San Jose Shelter. AT the shelter he sat for 3 weeks without any treatment because he 'growled'  When he was finally pulled by a rescue it was found that his hip was dislocated and the leg was also broken (i would have growled also). Because of the length of time, the best thing to do was to remove the rear leg. He has recovered wonderfully from that,  He was unsure of women  so he has been worked with by a trainer.  Now the foster home feels he is ready for a new forever home.
